Fuelled by the frustration of not being able to find information on my local playgroup or where to have my sons party this year, I set about putting together ’The Rainbow Directory’. After having done lots of research I found that the island had lots of thing to do for babies up to big kids but I realised I needed to locate the information that I required, such as my local playgroup or music lesson. This seemed to be an endless task, when I did find a music lesson it was full. I thought it would be wonderful if all this information was readily available to parents, grandparents, people who care for children. As a mother I just wanted up-to-date and relevant information in my local area and so that is how ‘The Rainbow Directory ‘came about.

The Directory is accompanied by this wonderful website designed by Martin Cook at Netguides. I hope you enjoy the website and the directories and I would welcome any ideas or comments you have.

As the Rainbow Directory expands into new areas we our looking for people who want to work from home running their own publication. It can be full or part time. It just depends on you and how much work you want to do. You will be independent and self-employed but have the support of ‘The Rainbow Directory’.
